Position Summary: The Sales Specialist (Reproductive and Genetic Health - RGH) will be responsible for developing and driving sales opportunities by translating deep segment expertise and product knowledge into compelling positioning, competitive and selling strategies.

The goal is to promote rapid adoption of lllumina solutions resulting in increased sales success by providing segment and technical knowledge into sales opportunities.

The Specialist will develop key sales opportunities and build a community of satisfied customers by working with district sales personnel and marketing in both pre- and post-sales activities.

Sales Specialist는 Reproductive health 및 Genetic disease 분야에 대한 깊은 전문 지식과 제품 지식을 바탕으로 판매 기회를 개발하고 주도하며, 판매 기회에 세그먼트 및 기술 지식을 제공하여 판매 성공을 돕는 것을 목표로 함국내에서 일루미나의 RGH segment 사업을 추진하는데 중점을 두고 RGH 응용분야 전반에 걸쳐 일루미나 기술의 채택이 용이하게 하며, 고객 방문 등을 통해 신규 마켓에 대한 기회를 포착하고 고객 커뮤니티를 구축하는데 기여함주요 application : WGS, WES, NIPT, Cytogenetics, Human microarray, Pharmacogenomics This role will focus on driving lllumina's RGH business in Korea to facilitate adoption of lllumina technology across RGH applications.

Additional travel outside of region may be occasionally required.

Responsibilities & Requirements Demonstrates basic knowledge of segment (e.g.

applications, customer types, trends) and uses this to add value to segment-specific activities.

Uses Illumina's standard slide decks to give engaging, structured sales presentations to customers.

Uses segment knowledge to add further value to presentations Proactively sources information from resources such as journals, colleagues, customers and web-based information to improve segment knowledge Demonstrates knowledge of customer needs within the segment Positions the correct product(s) and understands competitor offerings Builds slides decks using standard Illumina slides and presents regularly to customers Demonstrates knowledge of basic technical aspects associated with Illumina products (e.g.

instrument throughputs, library prep methodology)Demonstrates knowledge of Illumina customers, top customers: spends time building relationships, understanding customer needs Interacts comfortably with customers at the Post Doc level Uses knowledge of the different customer types within the segment to tailor discussions and presentations accordingly Spends significant amount of time in the field building these relationships, often by travelling with Direct Sales team Customers see the value in having the specialist visit Specialist is focused on 'Customer Success', beyond just the generation of high quality data Builds internal relationship within assigned territory and APJ specialists and regional marketing Regularly attends internal meetings (in person and conference calls)Presents updates on business activities at internal meetings Is the 'Voice of Customer' in internal discussions: proactively discusses feedback Is seen as the first point of contact for anyone in the region requiring segment market knowledge and segment technical input Shares segment-specific information with colleagues Communicates regularly with Manager: seeks input, keeps Manager appraised of key opportunities/tactics, discusses roadblock/difficulties Demonstrates working knowledge of the scope of the role, when to bring in others and is effective at utilizing available resources Communicates effectively with customers and internal colleagues, demonstrates methodical thinking, listens effectively and influences with reasoned arguments Takes an active role in Segment strategy planning Works closely with the Segment marketing manager to refine plan Executes on sales initiatives to drive business Contributes Sales and customer feedback to Segment scrums and planning meetings Executes proactive tactics to help accomplish plan Demonstrates excellent planning skills to manage workload, keeps structured records, maintains business plans Utilizes Illumina financial data and systems to generate basic reports (e.g.

top customers, trends, product specific sales)Uses this financial data to inform tactics Reports observations to management and colleagues Supports TAMs with pricing calculations, per sample costs etc as required Regularly utilizes Sales tools such as the Pain Chain to diagnose customer's needs and articulates these needs to internal colleagues Articulates customer's needs to add value to internal discussions Demonstrates regular on-time attendance at internal meetings (onsite and remote)Embraces regional business process initiatives and is a key contributor to their success Fluency in Korean and English desired Proactively seeks to improve technical knowledge Understands key questions to discuss with customers and can tailor those discussions/questions depending on the customer type Consistently applies Illumina's policies and requirements within designated time frame (e.g.

LMS modules, expense reporting)Recognized deep expertise in Reproductive Health or Genetic Disease genomic methodologies Listed responsibilities and requirements are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position.

Preferred Experience:3+ years experiences in a related environment Experience in Reproductive Health and Genetic Disease (clinical and research) markets preferred Prior field experience supporting customers in a highly technical field such as Next Generation Sequencing or Microarrays preferred Commercial experience preferred Market development experience including the introduction of new technologies into new markets Experience working with clinical customers or within a clinical environment Preferred Education: M.
