Key Responsibilities: Act as the Company’s in-house legal manager reporting to Head of Legal; Advise all business divisions (FBP, Fashion, W&FJ) as well as corporate divisions (HR, PR, Finance, etc.) on day-to-day legal issues; Draft various documents and contracts necessary for the commercial operation of Chanel Korea including commercial agreements, lease agreements, and other legal documentation.
Advise on current laws and future legislation that impact Chanel Korea such as areas of law including antitrust, anti-competition, intellectual property, e-commerce and labor laws.
Assist in handling governmental investigation and enforcement matters; Assist in creating and implementing adequate legal or compliance trainings and/or programs for local regulations and global policies; Engage in various regional and global projects and collaborate with counterparts in regional and global offices; Assist in handling commercial disputes or litigation.
Qualified lawyer in Korea (fluent in English both written/spoken) OR Qualified lawyer in English-speaking jurisdiction (bilingual in English/Korean with strong understanding of Korean law) Min 4 years PQE with law firm training or combination of law firm and in-house legal department In-house experience or in-house secondment experience strongly preferred A team player with good interpersonal and communicative skills, keen to interact with and understand the needs of a diverse group of people spanning a broad range of business teams and executives, including regional and global stakeholders; Commercial awareness with ability to apply legal knowledge and work effectively across all levels of matrixed organization within a dynamic commercial environment; In-depth knowledge of Korean commercial, anti-corruption, e-commerce, safety and competition law principles; Strong contract drafting and advisory skills; Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment; Agile, ability to use discretion and deal effectively with uncertainty, change and ambiguity; Respectful, open-minded and emotionally grounded and humble Key stakeholders in Business divisions, corporate divisions Regional and global legal teams Outside counsel Government agencies
