What You'll Do Lead the initiation, structuring, and execution of music publishing licenses across APAC and other key markets, working closely with publishers, collecting societies, and other rightsholders
Serve as Spotify’s primary commercial point of contact for publishing partners, building strong relationships across both pre- and post-deal engagements
Own the full lifecycle of publishing agreements — from structuring and commercial discussions through implementation, renewals, amendments, and ongoing performance monitoring
Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Data teams to structure, develop, finalize, and operationalise licensing agreements effectively
Support post-deal execution by collaborating with licensors and their back-office partners to improve claim completeness, data quality, reporting accuracy, and invoicing efficiency
Communicate operational and process changes clearly to partners, supporting onboarding and ongoing engagement to ensure effective royalty claiming
Analyze licensing, reporting, and royalty data to inform commercial decision-making and provide insights to internal stakeholders
Contribute to broader commercial initiatives, strategic planning, and business development opportunities across markets
Who You Are Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5+ years of experience in the music industry, preferably in music publishing, tech, or media, with a focus on music licensing and commercial discussions
Possess strong knowledge of digital music and streaming landscapes, including key publishing partners, business models, and market trends.
A self-starter with outstanding commercial competence who can work independently.
A strong commercial leader with a track record of structuring and closing complex deals.
Experienced in working across cultures and time zones, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Deeply familiar with music copyright and licensing frameworks, and attuned to current industry challenges and opportunities.
Highly motivated and organized, showing proficiency in managing multiple projects and delivering results under tight deadlines.
Strong in analytical and numerical thinking comfortable building and explaining financial models and working with spreadsheets.
A clear, confident communicator, able to present effectively to senior stakeholders and large audiences.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
