Overview Certara is hiring a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant based in Japan focusing on driving growth for Certara’s existing and future solutions, supporting the Enterprise Account Managers provide valuable solutions to our Enterprise Life Sciences customers with AI software and services.
The ideal candidate will be located in or near Tokyo, Japan.
This position reports to APAC Solutions Consultant team manager and/or Managing Director of Japan.
This role will cover the entire APAC where Certara.
AI products/services are needed.
In this role, he/she will build and maintain a thorough understanding of Certara.
AI products and services and work closely with the team locally and globally to manage and grow our existing business through our direct sales model, but also leveraging other Certara strategic partners as needed in the process.
The successful candidate will be involved in early discussions with our prospective customers to understand their business objectives and design a technical solution that would meet and exceed their expectations both as a business solution, short and long term, as well as adopting the technical infrastructure required for such implementation.
This is a highly customer facing position and requires a unique mix of scientific, technical, business process, presentation, and communication skills in the technical sales process.
Travel to customer and partner sites is required.
This position is based in Japan, but South Korea is an option for a string candidate Scientific industry knowledge with the AI tech/Data science adoption including competitive landscape, solution linkage, understanding and uncovering key requirements, in order to properly position our software and service solutions within the assigned accounts is required.
This role requires strong initiative, self-motivation, and collaborative skills to work with other team members within and externally to Certara.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong complex AI technical sales aptitude and a willingness to grow our business utilizing complex sales methodologies and approaches.
The candidate must be keenly aware of organizational growth initiatives related to the life science market - not limited to the life science market - and target customer segments, as well as Certara’s potential to meet customer needs with our AI software products and services.
Ultimately, the APAC AI Solution Consultant is also responsible for bookings and revenue growth through the use of value creation for our customers.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Actively supports the sales team and business partners as an expert on the technical, functional and integration of Solution and Services.
Technical Subject matter expert and lead for responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests For Proposal (RFPs).
Understand and influence customer’s short term and long-term initiatives that align with software and services solutions.
Support Marketing Activities as needed as the Technical Subject Matter Expert on Certara AI Solution and Services.
Serves as a point-of-contact for technical and functional questions and drives the resolutions of said concerns by the clients and or partners.
Develops and maintains relationships with clients, partners and internal groups with the common goal of increasing market share for solution and services.
Participate in professional trade shows and clinical conferences, or the equivalent, (or as practically possible), supporting client meetings and or AI solution demonstrations.
Deliver presentations and product seminar tours at scientific conferences as required.
Develop sales material, presentations, software demonstrations and evaluation materials.
Deliver product training to marketing & sales on new functionalities for designated products to clarify the features and the benefits to our customers.
Utilize AI knowledge to the industries and industry contacts to grow the Certara.
AI business in line with agreed commercial goals.
Meet and exceed sales quota on a quarterly, and annual basis.
Follow Certara processes and best practices for properly working Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL’s).
Qualifications5+ years as a Solutions Specialist/Consultant in a Data science commercial or support role or similar and enterprise B2 B Saa S and or Services industries.
Familiarity with AI knowledgebase software or platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in IT computer science, Data Science or above (in a science discipline) or advanced business degree preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and local language.
Exceptional presentation skills, both in customer meetings, face to face and or on-line, as well as at trade shows and or large audiences.
Attention to detail and uncovering hidden customer requirements.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
Ability to work in a high energy team environment.
Able to fully utilize the MS Office suite (Excel/Word/PPT)Certara bases all employment-related decision on merit, taking into consideration qualifications, skills, achievement, and performance.
