The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of ship agency operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services to clients and vessels calling at the port.
This role involves overseeing a team of ship agents and administrative staff, as well as liaising with port authorities, clients, and other stakeholders.
This is a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective delivery of ship agency services, contributing to the success and reputation of Noatum Maritime.
Supervise and manage a team of operations and administrative staff.
Develop and implement SOPs Monitor and optimize operational processes.
Manage cross functional coordination between business units.
Act as the primary contact point for key customers to ensure SLA adherence and performance.
Liaise with key port stakeholders to ensure compliance with port and operations regulations.
Oversee financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
Review and approve invoices, billing statements and financial reports.
Identify cost savings and revenue growth opportunities.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, regulatory non-compliance, and financial liabilities.
Implement measures to promote a culture of safety, security, and environmental stewardship.
REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS Degree in maritime studies, logistics, business administration or similar.
Minimum 5 years in shipping agency or related maritime industry with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles.
At least 2 years in managerial role or team leadership role.
Experience in handling wet, dry and liner cargo operations is desirable.
High level of English language proficiency is essential.
