You will be an essential member of our finance team based in
our Seoul office, working closely with finance managers, client service
leaders, and colleagues across both finance and other administrative functions.
You will be a member of finance team based out of Seoul
office and broader global client finance community and report to a global
client finance lead or manager. Mc Kinsey is a non-hierarchical network
organization, and we place a premium on low-ego, highly-collaborative
colleagues, with strong general problem-solving and communication skills, who
are able to navigate tricky situations and complex stakeholder groups, act
through influence not authority, and craft solutions that balance sometimes
competing needs.
In this role, you will work alongside client service teams and industry
leadership to manage the economics of our client engagements throughout the
full engagement lifecycle—from budgeting and financial set-up, to monthly
monitoring of revenue and expenses, to billing and accounts receivable. You
will also provide variance analysis, forecasting, and make recommendations to
drive both engagement and office’s financial
performance.
In addition, you will ensure compliance with firm finance policies, including expenses and local tax requirements, while reviewing contract commercial terms and guiding client service teams through the exception approval process when needed. You will collaborate with client procurement and finance teams on deliverable acceptance, resolving issues, and providing impact calculations or reconciliations to enable billing. Additionally, you will support local finance teams and the Corporate Tax team with engagement lifecycle (ELC) aspects of internal, statutory, tax, and audit requirements, as well as assist with quarterly VAT filing for client invoices and their reconciliation.
As part of the broader team, you will help to identify areas
of opportunities and work closely with leadership to lead/assist with the
design and implementation of new financial processes and systems, and
streamline existing procedures as needed.
This role plays a key role in ensuring compliance with Firm
finance policies. You will be positioned to act as a resource for team members,
providing training, coaching and support. Additionally, you will provide ad-hoc
analyses and local/regional/global
special project support as needed.
