Dulwich College Seoul is a flourishing, high-performing school

The College currently caters to over 740 students from 46
different nationalities. We offer an internationally adapted
British National Curriculum from Early Years to Year 9, the IGCSE
programme in Years 10/11 and the IB Diploma Programme in Years

JOB SUMMARY:

The Teacher of Music is a committed and reflective practitioner
who plays an important role within a thriving Music Department,
delivering inspiring and academically rigorous music education from
Upper Primary through to Senior School. The post holder contributes
to a broad, well‑sequenced curriculum that supports students’
musical growth as performers, composers and informed listeners,
drawing on a wide range of musical styles, traditions and
practices. Music is a valued part of the College curriculum, with
students studying the subject throughout the school and having the
opportunity to pursue IGCSE and IBDP Music in the Senior
School.

The Teacher of Music is responsible for planning and delivering
engaging, student‑centered lessons that reflect high expectations
and careful attention to individual needs. In addition to classroom
teaching, the role involves contributing to the wider musical life
of the College through ensemble direction, performances,
co‑curricular activities, and international trips, helping to
create a vibrant culture of music-making.

REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must have:
An appropriate degree, with PGCE, or other equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum two years’ teaching experience
Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
Recent and consistent involvement in a wider range of extracurricular activities
Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background
A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.

Experience of teaching IGCSE and/or IBDP Music within an
International School is desirable.
