About SAP STAR Program
Global Student Training and Rotation (STAR) Program offers university students hands-on industry experience at SAP, the world’s leading software provider. As part of a global program across 14 countries, STAR students work on real business projects and develop professional skills. Unlike most internships, this program allows students to continue their studies at university without taking a break or needing to graduate first. Upon graduation, you will have opportunities to apply for open positions within SAP and potentially become a valued member of our team.
Education and Q ualifications
Open to undergraduate and graduate students who meet the following requirements and process the core competencies listed below.
E xpected to gradua t e in Feb. 202 7 , Aug. 202 7 , or Feb. 202 8 ( required )
An open-minded, problem-solving attitude, resilience, and positive spirit even under challenging conditions
Course work in Database ( Fluency in SQL is a plus)
Experience in one or more programming languages ( e.g. C++, Python etc.)
Solid understanding of AI fundamentals , RAG (vector, graph) concepts and MCP servers
Hands-on experience using AI tools and coding agents
Experience developing AI applications / agents is a plus
Intermediate communication skills in English (Fluent is a plus)
Role Overview : Developer
The program includes a rotation system that allows you to participate in three different projects or teams within the organization. Your first rotation will be in the HANA Cloud Database Data Federation Team.
Our team is passionate about data integration and committed to delivering high-quality enhancements to data federation topics in HANA Cloud. We work collaboratively across global teams, pooling our collective expertise to achieve shared objectives and make impactful contributions to the HANA Cloud and SAP.
Here is the example of a project topic:
Design, implement, and integrate AI features into HANA Cloud Federation component
Develop AI tools to boost internal productivity and operational efficiency
Program & Work Details 18-month structured program with learning, mentorship, and rotations
Employment Type: Fixed-term Intern 18 months
Probation Period: 3 months from the date of hire (extendable if necessary)
The detailed working conditions will be subject to the employment agreement
Full-time (40 hrs/week) during breaks; part-time (20 hrs/week) or full-time during semesters
Flexible hours aligned with academic schedules
Eligible to apply for full-time roles after 9 months and graduation
Supports university field practicum / academic credit programs ( 대학 현장실습 프로그램 / 학점인정 프로그램 ).
