Hauptaufgaben As Quality Assurance (QA) Telecommunications Installation Specialist, performs a wide range of complex tasks involving the technical review and reporting of plans, system design, records maintenance, and quality assurance for new communications projects and existing Communications-Electronic (C-E) system throughout the command with particular specialization in fiber optic, Local Area Network copper wire cables, passive telecommunication infrastructure and underground telecommunication cable systems.

Participates in performance evaluations of US Army Technical Control Facilities (TCF), Patch and Test Facilities (PTF), Information Processing Nodes (ITN) or Area Distribution Nodes (ADN), outside plant (OSP), inside plant (ISP), building entry facility, telecommunication rooms and passive telecommunication infrastructure.

Provides technical advice, determining appropriate technical identification; determining adequacy of existing specifications, policies and procedures; and determining need for modification of specifications or development of new specifications; evaluating technical operations of facilities and systems; reviewing plans, drawings and installation specifications; making field trips to inter-site areas to complete ISP and OSP in-progress quality control, as necessary to effect completion of assigned projects; and providing technical advice and guidance to installation teams in various areas.
